Friends of the Library supported, the Summer Reading Program sponsored by the Ingleside Public Library by providing funding for the program. The library appreciates all the support provided by the Friends of the Ingleside Public Library. Friends of the Library also provided funding to restore all the library's subscriptions to magazines and newspapers. Coastal Bend Foundation Gives Library Grant The Friends successfully applied for and received a $5,000 from the Coastal Bend Foundation, which provided funding for materials. Over 400 items have been purchased including books, both fiction and non-fiction for juveniles and adults, DVDs and recorded books. The Coastal Bend Foundation has a long history of support of the Library and their programs and services. A big thank to the Coastal Bend Foundation for their on-going support.

Trull Foundation Grant:  Friends of the Library received notification this week (May 21, 2010 ) that the Trull Foundation of Palacios, Texas has award a grant for $5,000 to purchase library materials.  The Trull Foundation has been a tremendous supporter of the library and this is the second grant in three years given to Friends.

Friends Projects
The Friends of the Library are currently selling throws to commemorate the history of Ingleside. The throw represents historical landmarks that are part of the city's history. The throws are on sale at the library for $30.00 each.

 The Ingleside Public Library Advisory Board

 The Ingleside Library Board of Directors is composed of a dedicated group of people committed to the support and development of the library, its programs, services and materials.  The Library Board Members are appointed by the Ingleside City Council based on recommendations from the Ingleside Woman's Club.

The Board consist of seven members who are eligible to serve 3 consecutive terms of two years each.

The Library Board proposes and adopts policies and procedures, as well as the Library's Long Range Plan.  They advocate for the library on a local, regional, state and national level.

Their regular monthly meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month from September through May.  The public is always welcomed to attend any Board meeting.
