Children's Services

The Ingleside Library considers the children of our community to be one of our greatest assets and a source of pride for all of us. The library strives to provide exemplary programming, as well as a collection of excellent materials for our young people. In addition of books, videos and magazines geared to the interests of the youth of the community we also provide programming that enriches their library experience.

The programs include:
Five & Under Program - Offered every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m., Miss Irene provides stories, arts and crafts, games and music geared to a theme. Our youngest patrons have the opportunity of enjoy stories and activities together in a welcoming, safe and friendly environment. This program is free and mothers, fathers and care-givers are encouraged to share this time with their young ones.


After School Program - is provided for students in the 3rd through 7th grade. Offered every Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mrs. Isabel, Coordinator of the program, leads students in the discovery of new skills and reading in a relaxed setting that allows students to mingle, explore new skills and develop relationships in a welcoming and safe setting. Games, music, computers and arts and crafts are provided free of charge. Light refreshments are offered for a minimal charge.

Mr. Kippy's Storytime is offered twice a week. A program for pre-schoolers is offered every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Using exercise, music, drama and interactive play, the energetic Mr. Kippy shares stories with our young patrons. A program for elementary students if offered every Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This program is free to anyone in the community.

Special Programming is offered periodically throughout the year to enhance the regular programming.
