Meet The Staff
All the staff at the library strives to bring you the most efficient and effective public service possible. Our goal is to provide exemplary customer service at all times. If there is ever anything the staff can do to make your library visit more productive or enjoyable, please don't hesitate to share that with us. The staff is more than happy to answer reference questions both in the library and over the phone. Books, audios and videos can all be re-newed over the phone, if you can't get in to see us. We are also happy to take Interlibrary Loan requests over the phone as well. Please come in the library and meet every one of our staff.
Bill Scheig
Library Clerk
Bill Scheig has worked at the library for five years. He moved to Ingleside from San Antonio in 2001. Bill moved to be closer to his family. His favorite authors are Kinky Friedman and John Grisham. Bill enjoys the people he works with and the interaction with the public. While Bill says his reasons for loving his work at the library are numerous and varied, but "foremost is my love of the written word."
Irene Riojas
Library Clerk
Irene Riojas has lived in Ingleside almost her entire life. In fact, Irene began as a volunteer when the library was in the former location, almost 15 years ago. In 2001 Irene was hired as a Library Clerk, and she says she's enjoyed every minute of it.
Irene conducts the Five and Under Program each Wednesday and assist with the Summer Reading Club. Irene has three children. Irene's favorite pastimes include singing, dancing, drawing and making other people laugh. She has a natural ability to meet and make friends and at the library her easy going manner and genuine love of people makes her an excellent library worker.
Isabel Salas
Assistant Librarian
Isabel Salas has been employed at the Ingleside Public Library since December of 2003. She has lived in Ingleside all of her life. Isabel knows and is known by almost all of the citizens of Ingleside. Isabel states that she has enjoyed growing up in the community.
Isabel has been an intricate part of the library operation for over five years. She conducts the After School Program, and heads up the Summer Reading Club team, in addition to over-seeing all the circulation transactions. Isabel also catalogs and prepares all materials for circulation. She is married to Joe Salas and has 1 daughter and two sons. Isabel's favorite author is Max Lucado.
