Computer Classes at Ingleside Public Library

Ingleside Public Library is starting a new series of computer classes starting in June.  This series will run through August of 2010.

Basic Computer & Internet: will be offered starting June 3, 2010 on Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 p.m. This is an on-going training which is presented year round. The course is an introduction to surfing the web using Internet Explorer, the operation and structure of the computer, how to set up files and folders and other basic computer functions. Learn how to search effectively, find the things you really want on the web, and the basic structure and operation of the computer. Learn to create, save and organize documents and files on your computer. Participants are welcome to join at any time.

Basic word processing with Microsoft Word: will be offered on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning on June 3, 2010. This course will cover some basic functions of word processing, such as formatting text, aligning text, how to set up a document, inserting photos and cut and paste operations. Some keyboarding skills are helpful, but not required. Participants are welcome to join at any time.
All classes are hands-on trainings with participants doing exercises themselves. The classes are held at the Ingleside Public Library, 2775 Waco Street, Ingleside, Texas. For more information, please call 776-5355.
