The Human Resources Department:

  • Publishes all employment opportunities
  • Maintains personnel files, workers compensation claims, and medical/dental/life insurance benefits
  • Counsels with employees concerning insurance coverage benefits and assists/research any concerns between the employee and the insurance company

In addition, the Human Resources Department is responsible to attract, hire, develop and retain qualified employees through quality training, equal employment opportunities, compliance with employment laws and City policies, a competitive compensation and benefits package, and opportunities for professional development.
