Zoom Courtroom

At the direction of the Texas Supreme Court and the Office of Court Administration, the Ingleside Municipal Court will use all reasonable efforts to conduct proceedings remotely.

Due to the Open Courts Provision, the Ingleside Municipal Virtual Courtroom is open to the public. Docket dates/times are subject to change in accordance with the court schedule. Dockets are available by contacting the Court at 361-775-1188.

Failure to follow guidelines will prompt the Court Bailiff to remove the Defendant and/or Observer from the virtual courtroom.

  • Proper clothing strictly enforced. Inappropriate attire will not be permitted. The dress code is the same as if you were appearing in-person in the courthouse/courtroom.
  • Avoid background noise - Ensure your environment is conducive to attend virtually.
  • Avoid distractions - Turn off and put away any and all distractions so your full attention is given to the proceedings. Do not drive, smoke, chew gum or eat while attending the Virtual Courtroom. Avoid excessive movement (i.e. stay seated/stationary) while attending the Virtual Courtroom.
  • Do not record these proceedings.
  • Proper respect for the Court process shall be adhered to at all times.

Virtual Courtrooms are the same as Actual Courtrooms. The same rules of Court Conduct and Decorum apply.

Prior to Zoom Court

Turn in Documents

Turn in the following documents within 3 business days prior to your court date/time. Documents will not be exchanged during virtual court. Documents include, but are not limited to:

  • Copy of Driver's License / Identification Card
  • Insurance Proof (*Insurance tickets and/or Driving Safety Course requests only)
  • Any documentation you will be presenting during court.

Documentation delivery options are digital, by visiting the Hearing Document Uploads page, or in person and place in the drop box located outside the Ingleside Municipal Court building located at 2867 Avenue J in Ingleside, Texas.

Zoom Court Procedures

Check in (*15 Minutes Prior)

  • Visit the Ingleside Municipal Court Department's Zoom page.
  • If you have a Zoom app, allow Zoom to turn it on.
  • If you don't have a Zoom app, click on Zoom Courtroom.
  • Review the rules of the Court prior to entering the courtroom.
  • Join with Audio and Video
  • Sign in with your first and last name (For court purposes, staff may modify/amend your name upon entry.)

Waiting Room

Wait patiently to be checked in by the clerk.

Mute / Unmute

Remain on Mute until a response is required. Unmute only when addressed.

Chat

The Court may utilize the chat function to give directions. Continue to monitor your screen during proceedings.

Meeting with the Prosecutor (Pretrial)

  • You will be scheduled on the courts Pre-Trial Docket* to speak with the Prosecutor. 
    • Please note - Pre-Trial Docket has a different Zoom ID.
  • At the end of the Prosecutor meeting, you will be emailed the plea agreement to be signed and emailed back or set for a trial at a later date.

Judge

  • When the Judge calls your name and/or case, unmute your microphone.
  • When your court session is complete, you will be dismissed by the Judge and/or court staff. do not leave meeting without being dismissed.

Paperwork

Orders processed during Zoom court will be emailed or mailed to the address on file with the court. Please allow up to 48 hours for processing.

Technical Difficulties

Court staff is unable to provide Zoom assistance. If you experience technical difficulties or are unable to attend via Zoom, you must notify the court for alternative arrangements.
