David Daugherty

This week’s Friday Firefighter is David Daugherty, a firefighter with the Ingleside Volunteer Fire Department.
David’s day job is working for Kiewit Offshore Services as an Engineer II. He would like to be a Driver/Operator for the Ingleside Volunteer Fire Department in the near future and sees the department continues to grow as the community around us continues to grow. His favorite pass time is movie night with his family.
When asked why he chose to be in the fire service, his reply was, “To serve the community and have a sense of pride knowing what I do directly influences the wellbeing of the community of Ingleside”
Here are his words of encouragement for future firefighters: Don't give up or get discouraged. Being a firefighter is no easy task and should not be taken lightly. Ask questions and always give it your all, no matter what your assignment is. We are here to support each other and the community around us and every job is just as important as the next.
David says, In the future I see myself becoming a leader within the department and assisting bringing the department into the future.
Thank you, David, for all that you do!
